About TimeBank

TimeBank is a national volunteering charity. We run volunteering projects which are designed to tackle social issues.

Purpose of the role

Shoulder to Shoulder Online draws on TimeBank’s extensive experience of providing mentor support to hundreds of members of the ex-services community within Scotland.

In this role, your core responsibilities will be to co-ordinate and assist the Senior Project Co-ordinator to manage our new exciting Shoulder to Shoulder Online project, funded for 18 months by the Forces in Mind Trust. The online video platform will support 30 ex-Services personnel living in Scotland by matching them with a trained on-line volunteer mentor, who can provide an average of six months support, through guidance and signposting to help them meet personal and practical goals. This will include helping to reduce social isolation, enhance confidence, focus on routine and structure, and lead on their own recovery plans to take control of and lead independent lives.
