Futures Together

Futures Together supports Muslim women to learn basic computer skills and get online.

It also offers the chance to interact with younger generations and improve your English skills. The project has now been expanded to Birmingham with funding from The Allan and Nesta Ferguson Charitable Trust. It is aimed at women over the age of 35.

We can help you:

  • Learn how to use a computer
  • Send emails and use the internet
  • Improve your English speaking skills

Support is provided through two-hour workshops from January to May 2012. We provide training and easy-to-follow toolkits, and you'll be supported by the Project Coordinator at every session. A young Muslim woman volunteer will help you along the way, working at your own pace.

It's fun, informal and completely free!

About the workshops

The workshops are held every week in Handsworth, Birmingham between 10am-3pm Monday to Thursday. You can specify which times suit you.

Would you like to pass on your skills?

We need young Muslim women aged 18-34 to help us deliver these workshops. If you can use a computer, send emails, use the internet and are free for two hours a week, you could make a BIG difference to another woman's life.

If you would like to volunteer your help, we will provide training and you'll be supported by the Project Coordinator. You could even learn to lead similar training workshops of your own.

So if you'd like to get involved or know someone who would benefit from the project please email info@futurestogether.org.uk or telephone the Project Coordinator Shaida Riaz on 07514 530285.
