Disaster relief

You don’t have to be a healthcare professional to support with disaster relief. There are options for everyone and a chance for you to make a real difference both in the UK and around the world.

British Red Cross uses volunteers in Britain when we have emergencies such as floods or disasters. As a volunteer you could be offering emotional support, assisting with crisis management, first aid or emergency ambulance support.

Médecins Sans Frontières delivers emergency aid in more than 60 countries to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural or man-made disasters or to those excluded from healthcare. They mainly have voluntary positions for healthcare professionals, but financial controllers, logisticians, and water and sanitation professionals are also needed.
