Volunteering in your community

Futures Together

Futures Together is a mentoring project, where young muslim women aged 18-35 volunteer to support older Muslim women to improve their English language and computer skills. By bringing together women of different ages, we hope to encourage better understanding between generations and support Muslim women of all ages play an active role in their local community.

Real Parents

Super Nannies not wanted. But you are. If you've got real parenting experience why not make a real difference to parents struggling to cope?

Time Together

Time Together matches UK citizens in one-on-one mentoring relationships with refugees. Mentoring is one of the most effective ways of overcoming the difficulties and barriers faced by refugees in the UK. Mentors support, encourage, motivate and guide their mentee as they seek to achieve their goals in education, employment and integration.

Leaders Together

If you're a senior professional working in the voluntary sector, your experience and skills could be invaluable to a refugee leader running a community group. By becoming a mentor with the Leaders Together scheme, you could enable them to develop vital skills and forge links with essential mainstream services. Just 24 hours of your time, spread across 6 months, could increase their effectiveness and boost the impact of their organisation.

Get on Board

Get on Board is a joint campaign from TimeBank and the Charity Commission, to dispel myths around trusteeship, highlight the benefits and encourage more people to become trustees.

Volunteer to Win

Up to 70,000 volunteers will be needed to help deliver the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games in 2012. Volunteering at a Games is a never to be forgotten experience – register your interest now and you might get the opportunity to experience it for yourself.
